MB G Wagen 300 GD Help plz

I curently own a 1986 G Wagon,

It would appeal to have a unusual hard top attached to it

in the way that i think the vehicle may have originaly been a softtop, and that the hard top was added at a latter date.

To me it doesn't appear to be MB accessory

Can any help me to asetain if this an original MB fitting or other.

Looking forward to anybody's help.

Yes yours looks like it was originally a softtop version, the roof panel looks original but the rear windows and extra metal look like its a DIY job to make it fit.

Hi, your G was definitely originally one of the few RHD 300 GD soft top "pickups" imported by MBUK in the mid eighties. And that hardtop is definitely a custom job.

If you want more information, e-mail me the VIN of your G and I shall let you know whatever I find.
