MB Independant Tyneside?

Can anyone recommend a good independant in the NE area, preferably one that knows their way around a w124 e300 multivalve diesel!

There are very few people who know the E300 Diesel really well mainly because they don't go wrong often

The only jobs to do, apart from air leaks into fuel lines, seem to be complex & involve the vacuum inlet & gearbox system

Unfortunately mine needs a little attention!

I've been recommended Staithes Garage in Dunston by another member.

I spoke to the owner (Phil; nice guy) and i'm comfortable that he knows his way around the gearbox (2rd to 3rd flare problem).

However the problem maybe more difficult to trace - on a steady light throttle between 50 and 65 the car jerks slightly, and you get a rolling back and forth sensation. You depress the throttle and the car hesistates as if clearing a blockage and then accelerates smoothly as normal.

Any Ideas?? Ive considered but not checked yet:

Dirty fuel filter, leak in the fuel system, dodgy fuel pump, something badly wrong with rear axel??
