Hi, My first post so please be gentle! Apologies if this has been linked to before (have done a search but couldn't see anything).
Trying to fix my parents 26 year old W202 c280's poor starting and found this site last night. Whilst it is for the American market it is a great resource. It covers everything. Hope people find it useful.
Back to our car - it's still got the eco junk wiring (part on order from MB) which I will replace before attacking anything else. The car is one owner with 110,000 miles. Drives beautifully except for the poor starting.
Perhaps the link is worth a sticky?
Also for those with a 104 or M111 engines I can also recommend this software HFMscan ( no personal interest at all - it just works).
On-board diagnostics (OBDII) for Mercedes M111(4-cylinder) and M104(6-cylinder) HFM\PMS engines used in W124, W202, W210, W140, W463, SsangYong Musso, Korando and others models during year 1993 - 1998.
Yes he's based in Russia but appears to be totally legit. He's posted in the past on numerous forums - do a Google search - I did.
Hope the above is of use. Will report back once I get to the bottom of the poor starting (will do a separate thread).
