MB SAP "Looses" MMS Messages

I have started receiving Multi-Media messages from colleagues (as a picture speaks a thousand words!) trouble is when I am in the car all I get is a "No text" SMS notification.

Now, I can understand the MB SAP module cannot handle MMS but surely the messages shouldn't be "lost"? I can't recover them from my phone, they're not held in the COMAND. They don't get forwarded to my phone once disconnected from the car.

Anyone else experience this? Any ideas?

If any help i used to get the same message if i had sent a text from the command in my r,class, it was delivery reports which was given me the same as your getting, might shread some light!!!!!

i have the same issue i beleive that txt messages are not supported by the Audio 20 system i am waiting to here from Mercedes to see if there is any kind of upgrade avalable i have a CLK 220 on an 06 and use the SAP V2 with a Nokia 5800 Express Music

My problem was with MMS (picture messages) not SMS (text messages).

I think the only upgrade is to COMAND, which can display (and compose) SMS. If you can't find SMS sent to you, check your phone's SIM inbox and copy the SMS from there to your phone's inbox to retrieve the messages.

I don't believe there was ever a way to retrieve MMS when using SAP

thanks am i right that the V20 basically hijacks your sim then ... I will use my work phone and send myself a txt while my private phone is connected to the Command system and try what u said if it works i will dance a wee Irish Jig lol ..... All the best

Yes, the MB SAP module uses "SIM Access Profile via bluetooth to mimic your phone's SIM. You phone goes to sleep and all functions are via the module.
