MB have a service pack for older vehicles. I have found this while browsing the MB site and it looks like a good deal.

For my 2001 C220CDI it works out at around £500 per year and includes parts/labour and MOT.

Does anyone have experience of this Service Contract?

I'd particularly welcome any feedback on whether MB honour the contract or if they look to get out citing small print etc.

I was quoted £115/mth (+VAT) for 25,000 miles per year on a 6mth old C270 estate (and that's without tyres!!). I didn't go for it, but it made me think twice about buying the car.

I know it's not really any comparison, but I'll mention it anyway - my daughter's Seat Ibiza service contract (inc tyres) based on 10,000 miles/yr is £20/mth!!

The figure is for a c class doing under 10K miles annually.

My car currently does less than 5000 annually, but has cost me around £1700 in service charges over the past two years due to replacement of wear and tear items, even though it has only done 29K miles since new.

This makes the service contract look attractive but I wondered if anyone had experience of this scheme.

10,000 mile maintenance quote from Bank of Scotland through Sainsbury's Bank is £36.30 for an SLK200, inc tyres, excl punctures.

MB equivalent fifty something a month.

Thanks for that. Considering that my car is under w'tee so all it'll need is servicing and consumeables, I was pretty horrified but the quote.

£36 from BoS seems good, especially as, if you do it for 3 yrs, then you'll get at least one set of tyres out of it.

I'm not sure if its available as a standalone product or only with a new vwhicle but have to talk to them this week so will ask.
