MB specialist east london/essex?

Does anyone know of a good MB specialist in the east london/essex area?

Just have a few issues with my 1980 W123 240D that I would like to resolve, mainly a leak in the auto gearbox fluid and a water leak that means water blows through the heater vent after heavy rain!

I found Mercaid in Hainault but read a thread on here that said they weren't very good at all. I live near the MB main dealer in Loughton but guess my car is a bit old for them and that they will be very expensive too....

Not a merc specialist as such but Top Gear (0208 520 3710) on Forest Road in Walthamstow seem to do alot of work on top end marques and seem knowledgeable enough when I've been in. Alternatively there's MD Motors (0208 521 8460) in Walthamstow who I've also taken my cars to regularly over the past 12 years. The owner Mick knows his stuff and there's always been Mercs and BMW's in there so he might be worth talking too. He's also very reasonable pricewise.

I'd give Automerc in Hornsey a call. They work on lots of older Mercedes (many a lot older than W123s) and have a lot of sympathy for them

i work close to hornsey, so that would be a good option
