Hello there-
As an american expat, I can't imagine a Merc without MBtex, or 'yankee leather'. Even our S-classes had MB tex up to the mid 90s. Why do we yanks love our Tex? Well, because it lasts for hundreds of thousands of miles without any wear at all.

I currently have a w124 250D, which I intend to keep forever. However, it has cloth seats, which are in decent shape, but the bolster is worn, and it just isn't that nice in my opinion. It took so long to find a low mileage one owner 250D manual, that I figure it'll be easier to retrim the seats than wait for the perfect car to come along.

I'm looking for a MB tex upholstery set for the seats, however all of the companies that sell them are in the US. Does anyone know anyone who sells genuine or pattern seat covers in the UK (or even germany)? I'm sure Mercedes sells them, but I'm sure they cost more than my house. The US specialists sell a new full interior for $1700, which is tempting with the weak dollar, but the shipping and customs fees would be monsterous.

Otherwise, if anyone has a nice set of blue non-electric MB tex seats for a 124 saloon I'm there!
