I have a C180 (2001) with a MC3010 CD Changer.

The changer jammed with CD's in and now will not work at all. I managed to get the CDs out but I think the unit is probably kaput.

I do get the red blinking light in the Fibre Optic Lead at the changer end when the radio is turned on.

Do you think that I am O.K. to just buy a new unit, I am a bit worried about buying a new changer and then finding out that the fault is somewhere else.

Any thoughts

No you will be OK it will not be anything else, they often come up on Ebay
