Hi all.

Have any of you with applicable cars registered for the free 'ME' adapter device ?

Seems the app enables quite a few handy features.

I'm getting mine fitted this Friday. Been told it takes 15-20 min.

Yes, quite a few of us have it, the options are very much dependant upon how new your car is and not everything is available on all cars.

I looked into it but then talked myself out of it. I think I'd use it to start with then get board no doubt.

I found one plugged into my car after a service, when I enquired about it I was informed that after a setting up procedure it would provide three free functions for my car, a remote locking function which I saw as a security weakness, remote fuel level indicator, as if I'm likely to forget? and something else so insignificant I can't even remember what it was? anything else would attract a monthly fee so the conversation ended there!

Typical Mercedes, would take anyone else less than 30 seconds!

I had it in mine for 1 day. 2014 E Class.
See how much fuel I had from my phone and where I parked. Lock the car if I'd managed to not press the key for the first time ever!
Killed my phone battery. Waste of time IMO.
The newer cars with the drive outnif parking space remotely are cool as. Sadly mine not doing it.

Well I don't consider myself a Conspiracy Theorist but the thought did cross my mind at the time of finding an unidentified dongle plugged into my OBD port, the identity of which was first suggested on this site and confirmed by MB when I contacted them to see if they wanted it back as I had settled with the possibility it was a WiFi/BT STAR Adapter? !
