Can anyone let me know where the idle screw is plz and not the fuel mix screw for the Bosch Fuel system. Number 0438120170

I have replaced the leads, plugs, cap, rotor arm and coil now the car is running a bit like a tin can in a concrete mixer so I need to get the gadget box out .

suggest you look at "coughs and splutters thread" as there are so many reasons for a poor running engine.

Problem has been located to 500SE

It's about time that I have located the problem to my non starting 500SE (1985)

It turns out the air duct (large rubberised component under fuel system) has a large hole in the base of it.

I've checked with MB it's only £80, wondering if anyone would have one laying around or know where I can locate one. Euro and GSF don't have them, I have found one in the USA but the company doesn't ship to UK

the mb part number is :115 1400018

nope this is the part which connects to the fuel system

Nope this is a large rubberised moulded part that the fuel distributor bolts onto.
