merc 190e - jerking!!

i experienced some wierd symptoms on the 190e today-as i was driving along and then took my foot off the accelerator pedal to slow down-the car started jerking and missing as if it was going to stall but it did not-any ideas or explanations?

secondly ,-the fuel gauge on the c200 has a mind of its own-i filled the tank yesterday-and the gauge reads empty!!-it has happened once before and corrected itself spontaneously-hope it does the same again-any similar experiences or explanations??

Sunil,

My father-in-law's C240 has the same problem with his fuel gauge.  It sorts itself out if you restart the car.

No idea about the jerking though.

Its the fuel tank sender unit , we had the same problem on our 220 cdi . Unit was changed and it fixed it.
