merc 230ce 1985

i am new to this forum and have bought a 230ce pillarles coup about six months ago the car goes brill.

no problems so far i have just tightend the fanbelt which was making a noise what amount of play should there be on the belt i have an handbook but theres no mention of this in it.

anyone with the same model with any tips or wish to contact would be most welcome.

Normaly half an inch on the longest run would do.
