Hi Guys, I've just taken my Merc 308d (1999) MWB to have the tracking/wheel alignment done. At the garage they had a screen in the reception area with live viewing of their Hunter Hawkeye alignment kit. Whilst I watched as they added the input for the vehicle manufacturer and model I noted that they'd manually added "4025mm" into the computer. He paused and went back through the options clearly a little unsure before settling on "4025mm". Now at the time knowing it wasn't a figure for my vehicle that I'm familiar with I just put it down to my little understanding of the tracking system and decided I'd look into it further later. But I'd presume that the figure is in relation to the wheelbase length, hub to hub. I know that the wheelbase on my van is "3550mm" and I suspect that the "4025mm" entry they've entered is the wheelbase length, hub to hub of the LWB version of the 308d (three panel version). Mine is the two panel MWB version. Does anyone have experience of the hawkeye system and the measurements entered or can anyone give me the dimension specs/technical data to compare the two vehicles? I had a look online but seems hard to find. Parkers.co.uk had the specs for all the MWB versions but stopped and only gave limited data excluding relevant info on the LWB versions. I gave them a phone and they said it would "likely be right" but I'm not convinced. They offer a re-check in a few weeks as standard and I'd pay closer attention to the model number options menus next time but I don't want to run my new tyres in the wrong alignment settings for a few weeks if I can get the tech info here. Thanks guys.
