follow up to my last posts!
Cleaned fuel tank and lines and put fresh fuel in, injectors are new and also had brand new filters inc gauze filter on fuel side, once fresh fuel had been put in the smoke has reduced somewhat, it still smokes (blue) excessively when revving the engine on tick over, but when not revved there is hardly any smoke, therefore would fail emissions test!
However when driving the vehicle it only smokes on low revs, and is a faint trace of blue when setting off from lights etc, however up hills, and when working the engine, e,g 3rd gear up hills no smoke at all! once u ease off pedal and go back on, blue smoke appears.
The smoke only has a slight blue in it and does sting your eyes, but its mainly a grey/blue colour,
Points we have done
1: Changed All Filters
2: New Injectors
3: Cleaned fuel tank and lines
4: introduced brand new diesel
There is absolutely no back pressure from the engine and its not using water nor oil! it has plenty performance and isnt frightened to do 70 on motorway.
Nobody We have taken it to including Hi-Tech Diesels in Lancashire reckon it is anything to do with the actual engine e.g pistons, rings, valve stem oil seals, etc as the engine purrs real nice isnt lumpy and has plenty power, and always starts first time no probs!
Could all this be the lift pump perhaps? (However its on Injector side of engine not oil side)
Or could it be injector pump possibly over-fueling?
Or Your Suggestions Please!!! Much Appreciated1 Thanks
