Merc G-Wagen.

Hi. My cousin has this 1985 merc G-wagan 300GE ( I think its GE its diesel anyway). Where can you get a repair manual from, as he has looked everywhere. All the ones he has found are really expensive.

I guess if you own a Merc,  you've got to expect everything to be pretty expensive!

Hi,

The paper manuals can no longer be had. There are the CD versions available, though. They come in two or three parts. One covers the body and electrics (460), one covers the engines/transmissions (need to know which one- first 3 digitsof s/n) and another for the brakes and axles etc.

...though I think that they're are also available in the UK from the G-Wagen Owners Association (01763 2612360)


PS: 300GE is a 463 range petrol version.
300GD is diesel and could either be a 460 ('80 - '89) or 463 ('90 - '97) series
