On a Merc ML, what are the three hinged metal panels in the back of the boot called?
What do they do?

On a Merc ML, what are the three hinged metal panels in the back of the boot called?
What do they do?

Ta.

They maintain a flat(ish) load area when the seats are folded by covering the deep recess below, you can also stow bits and pieces out of sight under them.
