Merc Newbie - QI and Me question

Hi,

new Mercedes owner and have a couple of issues I can’t find the answer to.

First, I have an iPhone 12 and wireless charging isn’t working in my a180d - is it a known problem or just my car?

Second, the previous owner had paid for the entire Mercedes Me pack and has now deregistered and I’ve registered. Should I get the benefit of his services he paid for??

There is a well reported issue re wireless charging of iPhone 12 (happened to me). A hard reset of phone is required then it will charge (quick press up volume, quick press down volume then hold right hand button until apple logo) it won’t affect your data.

Re the ME services, as far as I know they are account specific so unlikely to be transferred across.

There is a well reported issue re wireless charging of iPhone 12 (happened to me). A hard reset of phone is required then it will charge (quick press up volume, quick press down volume then hold right hand button until apple logo) it won’t affect your data.

Thanks but sadly that’s made no difference. Do I need to have smartphone integration or should it work without ? My phone is connected to my car via Bluetooth and the charge is showing but greyed out

I don’t think smartphone integration is required. After the phone reset mine charged okay.

Mercedes Me services are generally free for the first three years so most of them should still work for you until the third anniversary of first registration.
