To whyle away the dark winter months i bought a Mercedes 190 1.9D (1989) to restore..and what a mistake, i bought a bucket of bolts! But i plod away at it and the winter of 2010 should see the car on the road!

A question for your learned contributors to this forum...the indicators don't work, should i be looking at the switch or the relay (i haven't got a spare relay to try out as it seems to be a built in triple unit relay) Anyone have any advice? (second hand mercedes parts are hard to locate in this country)

I would check the relay, if you have power at the relay then the switch is working. Check the fuses as well of course

buy a copy of mercedes enthusiast - plenty of breakers in there...

Rorys Mercedes Dublin sell new and second hand parts and deliver nationwide. Will find them in 01 yellow pages under Car Dismantlers.

Indicators

Check the hazard warning light switch, a faulty one of them used to be a common cause of the indicators not working. :wink:
