Already starting. The London ULEZ for example. Our 2002 SL500 is exempt but any Euro 3/4/5 diesel is not.
Similar plans being prepared in other cities.
They will penalise the older vehicles out of city centres then ban them.

I believe Bristol is about to ban the Diesel engine closely followed by Cambridge

I had a look at the 280... they haven't replied to my email and I saw this in the advert... "...NO WARRANTY GIVEN OR IMPLIED, CUSTOMER TO INSPECT VEHICLE PRIOR TO PURCHASE..." .. so wondering if they know something !

They can only say that if they are a private seller. Any company or trader has to comply to the law including the sales of goods act.

There is an easy way around all of this legislation and that is to fill in section 7 of your v5c document.

Then in 10 years time when all our city centers are even more polluted from everyone using petrol cars instead of diesel the politicians will change there minds again.

Depends where you live I suppose and intended use but one of the best Diesel engines MB made good for 200k miles, frugal and very reliable
