Hi All,

We have the Vito panel van CDI115 that was delivered March 2004.

The problem we are having is the battery keeps losing its charge.

The Van has been back to Merc 10 times since March and the problem remains.

We have removed interior lights, removed the tow bar assembly, removed the tracking system, battery has been replaced 3 times, the last fix that was done today was the glow plug relay was changed. Every time Merc has had the Van and its been returned, they say they cannot find the problem.

Any ideas or any one else having this problem .. ?

Thanks,

check the running voltage of the battery, it should be 14.6 volts if more like 13.2 then the alternator isnt putting enough into the battery and over time you drain it to nothing.
it may not be related but still worth checking, the part at fault will be the alternator regulator £10 roughly for a new one.
But like I said poss not your problem.
