Mercedes 107sl Automatic Roof

i am in the process of purchasing MERCEDES BENZ SL 107 CONVERTABLE POWER ROOF MECHANISM This is a very rare opportunity to buy a power roof for 107 model Mercedes Benz SL .It will fit all 107 models (280 380 450 420 and 500 SLs )from 1972 up till 1990 . This is all you will need to make your SL in to a power roof model. The kit opens the roof cover the comes out then the cover closes and the roof opens all by the push of a button and to put the roof down it work the same .

Unfortunately the person has lost the original instructions and just has a draft of how to fit.

Does anyone have the original instructions they can photocopy or send me - i am willing to pay of course.

if i cannot get any instructions i will have to forfeit this rare opportunity

I have to agree - probably the worst thing you could do to a 107 is fit a power roof.

there was one on e-bay for £500

a few weeks ago. It looked more frightening compnenent wise than anything I've seen yet. It must be an absolute b*gger to fit and adjust, and what do you do when it fails.

I still think you have to go some to beat me getting the roof up under impending rain. i can do it Richard Gere-like in about 10 sec, properly in about 20, if i stay in the car.
