I have a 190e 1994 L manual. It has problems starting from cold, I called the AA, after checking a few items such as filter, alternator the patrol came to the conclusion that my engine gets flooded and thus causing the problem. He pulled out the fuel relay from behind the battery. He examined it and said it looked fine. He then asked me to depress the throttle and attempt starting whilst he did something near the fuel relay switch area, this enabled the car to start. However the next day it refused to start.

My qn is what do you think he did which enabled the car to start whilst i had the throttle depressed? also do you think i simply need to replace the fuel relay or is there a problem with the injectors etc?

many thanks
