Just thought that sensors would cause the problem at ignition and engine start. I was under the impression from previous posts that sensors were only looked at ince car was moving (wheels turning). However, you are right, that is not the case. Speed sensors are checked when ECU powers up ....

Hopefully this will help others with similar probs.

Found out on my own 190 when I had it..........seen a load more since.
