Hi Guys
The Battery on my 1992 J Reg 190e had gone flat owing to the Cold Weather and lack of use during 'Lockdown' so I put it on a Trickle Charge overnight, as I have done many times before but I did not disconnect the Battery and cannot remember doing so when I've Trickle Charged it in the past
But although the Battery is now fully charged, the Ignition Light stays on which is leading me to believe that I have blown the diode or the voltage regulator
Is there any way to fix this as Car accessory Shops are Closed during lockdown, I've also got a scrap Mercedes 190d with a good Alternator on it but the Bracket looks a lot bigger but does anyone know if there is a way to make it fit
Also I've got a good Lucas ACR15 Alternator but that has the Normal Pulley while my Merc 190e has the Wider Pulley for the Serpentine Belt
Any ideas as I need to get this fixed ASAP
