Can anyone help. I have a `93 190e that has just had a replacement engine.
After leaving the garage i could not get the revs up even with the accelerator fully depressed. It seems like it is holding back....could this be a fluid problem

I would recomend you take it back to the garage that fitted the engine. And quite why a 93 190e would need a new engine is beyond me? Had the origional engine done over 500.000 none serviced miles or something????

But apart from that. It sounds like they havent set your "control pressure cable" correctly(if at all) Its the cable that goes from your throttle arm down to your gearbox. It lets the gearbox know what gear to be in, in acordance to your engine revs and load on the gearbox.
