Hi

I Need a bit of advice if anyone could help. I have a prolem with my 190E, (KE Jetronic)It hesitates and misfires under very heavy load around 3,500 rpm.
If I come off the throttle a bit it seems to clear. There is a rectangular electronic component located on the front of the fuel distributor/ air flow housing and it has a 3 pin plug on it. When I unplug this the symptoms seem to go away. I would like someone to tell me what this part actually does, and if there is a problem leaving the plug off.

when u unplug that connector u are basically running in k jetronic mode

in other words mechanical injection

plug a multimeter into pins 1 and 3 (i think)
press the throttle plat down slowly u should get a nice steady increase in resistance

if u dont then the throttle position sensor is goosed
