Mercedes 1990 230TE AUTO

Hi i have a problem with my Mercedes Estate 230TE. The electric windows sunroof, frontscreen wipers and screen washers have all stopped to work at the same time. I've checked the fuses but no luck please advise

It's probably a relay that is defunct. Check the handbook or maintenance manual

:lol: Problem solved- fuse number 2 looked absolutely fine but on removal discovered that the end that fits into the little hole on the bulkhead side completely corroded replacement restored the following functions

1. WIPER WASH AND WIPE
2. ELECTRIC WINDOWS
3. ELECTRIC SUNROOF
4. REAR DIMISTER
5. HEADLAMP FLASH
6. TOTAL CLOSURE

Well done on your fault finding.

As you have discovered it ain't easy sometimes to spot defects in these fuses and at almost 15 years old they are all in fact getting tired. A good investment of time and a few bucks is to replace them all now, to pre-empt age related failure - at the usual most inconvenient time!
