Hi there my name is Chris and hopefully im soon to be a Mercedes 1st time owner as im looking to buy a Clk (AMG Sport) diesel coupe I believe they are 2.1 and 3.2?
Im looking for information on what problems to look for when viewing these cars as I have fallen in love with how they look.
Also what options should the car have and what options are good to have
Thanks guys

If it was me, i would go for the 2.2, i have seen a few 2.2 do over 500.000 miles without any major faults, the 3.2 642 keeps showing new probs years after being made, saying that, in a small C, CLK, there a quick car, not really a lot to look for, rust don't matter with a late car, prob why you not had many replys, good luck with the hunt....

I did wonder if the 2.2 would have some get up and go about them l? Or they would be slow. any faults to look out for on this model?

A bit late perhaps. I had the 2.2 , 58 plate , and I felt it was ok but it really was underpowered. Not great on foot down acceleration. Great to drive , had mine for 3 years and no problems at all engine wise. .. nice cars.

Sure the 320 with 272 is much quicker.

Thanks for the response's guys but I'm not sure which model to go for,but did think that the smaller engine version would be easier to Service and maintain? Are there any known faults i should be looking for on these cars?
