Hi all
My previous reliable 1984 280ce had to be recovered by the RAC from gatwick long term parking last saturday after standing in cold and wet for 6days. The rac mechanic suggested i get new HT leads and a distro cap which i have ordered as although he detected a spark and fuel supply the spark didnt seems to be reaching the plugs or at least not all of them so although the car was turning over it would not fir up. I had used it daily until my holiday with no problems.
More worrying perhaps, when i checked the oil yesterday there seems to be petrol mixed in with the oil. Is this just a result of not being able to get the car to fire up after 2 hours of trying (flooding?)or an indication of a more serious cylinderhead problem?
I plan to fit the leads and disto cap this weekend but any advice of suggestions woul be most welcome
Many thanks
