Well, I had a guy plug it in and it read a fault but he never gave the a print out and just said glow plug circuit open yet they are new ones- that particular one has been replaced 3 times in under a year, i have the receipts, so i've tried to find other garages that can test it to find out the problem and they tell me it's too old and doesn't have a 16 dinn/dimm? whatever, so if i know the answer to my initial question I can at least type that in and have a better chance of finding someone who can do it. It was advised to buy anoither harness but may not sure the problem... which is not the glow plug but when it warms up it goes into limp.

It might still have 14 pin connector, usually that adapter cable comes with any older SDS clone.

Glow plug won't put car in limp mode, there is something else. What comes to glow plug error code, you glow plug module can be faulty, that age modules are repairable though.

Limp mode when warming sounds more like intake flap problem to me, or simply MAF playing up. Like said, SDS can connect your car and tell codes.

No, and there are no EMl lights on the dash either, the glow plug light simply goes out within 100 yards of driving, it starts perfectly ok, he didn't give me a code, he just said Glow plug has an open circuit.. whatever that means, there was nothing else coming up on his machine even though it does go in and out of limp mode. If i were to start it now and drive it would accelerate up to 4k but only once warm does it fall back to under 3k.

What is the SDS- is that the name of a testing machine?
