Mercedes a class brake light fault

Hi all,

The drivers side rear brake light on my 64 plate Mercedes a class has an issue.

The bulb will only work when it’s in a certain position, this is when it isn’t all the way into the the bulb holder. This will be fine for a week or so but then it will go out of this position and will not work again.

I’m under if there is anything I can do without changing the light unit itself.

Hi,

Perhaps the holder just needs a clean up with some switch cleaner and crocus paper.
