Hi all,

I have been looking for a late model 220 for a while now. I noticed at the back of a local garage a 1999 T reg 220 which is in the classic Early 90's E class shape. Ive searched the net but and have found only one other similar example which is on an R reg. Are these vehicles quite rare, I didnt realise they were produced in the classic box like shape late into the ninties?

Thanks for your help.

Peter.

i have been in the sales department at an M.B main dealer for a number of years now and have seen a few south african imports which were made long after they were replaced in England by the w210.The latest on i have seen was on a "v" plate and this was about 4 years ago.
The car was mint but really hard to value as it was a bit of an oddball.

hope this helps.

According to Honest John (www.honestjohn.co.uk) some cancelled export order W124s were sold as new in 2000 when 5 years old. I saw a 2001Y E200 for sale recently with about 30k on it. Tempting but it was a really basic spec.
