I have a 1991 MB Boschert B300., without the Gullwing doors, that I purchased a few years ago & I am curious if anyone has one of these cars or the Gullwing model. Jim from the US
I have a 1991 (Mercedes Benz) Boschert B300 that I purchased a few years ago and I am wondering if any of the members either have one of these cars or if anyone is familiar with them. Jim
Here are (4) pictures of the car. As I have learned, Hartmut Boschert, an engineer from Emmendingen, Germany came up with the idea to make a Gullwing-doored Mercedes, not using the MB SEC (W126) but the then new MB 300CE (w124).
From what I understand, they did not make many. My last search indicated only about 60 of the B300, without Gullwings, were still available. I don't know how many of the Gullwing are still out there. Boschert decided that he was going to provide an answer to the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing, since they were no longer made. I found out that another German coach builder/tuner Styling-Garage built a 500GS Gullwing. All of this took place back in the late '80s.
