Hi All,

I am new here... :) I am a member if the Mercedes-Benz Club of South Africa.

I must compliment on this site - really nice!

I have a quick question... I am looking to purchase a 1997 Mercedes-Benz C250 Turbodiesel. The car has 226 000 km on the clock with a full service history with Mercedes-Benz.

Would it be worth my while buying this car? I have heard from other members in the SA club that these cars can do up to 600 000 km withouth any hassle if you take good care of them. Some pointers on looking for a good one would be appreciated!

Also, what kind of mileage could I expect to get on a tank of diesel?

Your input will be greatly appreciated... :)

Kind Regards,

I bought mine with 193000 miles on it and it was still running well at 217000 miles, when I made the mistake of selling it. I generally got over 38 mpg from it.
