Mercedes Benz cls 320 glow plugs

Hi just bought a Mercedes Benz cls 320 auto diesel.

Can anyone please tell me how many I need and if they are difficult to fit by yourself?.

Should I just replace the lot ?

Six . depends if they are seized , yes.

Proper preparation is crucial , when i did mine i used D Block penetrating oil for around a week prior to tackling the job.

I did my w219 with engine hot and a slight turn to tighten them first they all came out willingly. Use a 1/4 inch drive long reach socket . 2 were a bit of a pig to get at removing the wiring. But I had success..

I had my 6 gp's changed early on in my E class ownership before I knew about indys and this forum and before I would try myself . I paid MB £200 . Which I would estimate to be an hour's charge and £70 parts?
