Mercedes chrome

My 88 107 bumpers are dull compared with the small centre bridging piece no matter how much polishing I give them.I`ve heard a few people say that Merc chrome was not the best.Im thinking of rechroming the bumper quarters and wondered if anyone has had experience of donig this and if the comment about chrome quality was true! Thanks. Nick

A rechrome is a good idea.They are twenty years old after all.
