Mercedes CLA 250e Battery Range

Hi I've a 2022 Mercedes CLA 250e plug in hybrid and when fully charged it says the ranges is 50km / 32 miles i on the digital screen sometimes get 55km on a full charge i've about 1,000 km on the car now.

Am just wondering if anyone has any thoughts as the battery range quoted by Mercedes is 71km / 44miles. and should the digital screen not display 71km ?

Now in saying this i actually got about 70km on the motor way when i calculated the distances the fully charged lasted me and noticed the 50km being used did not always equal 1km = 1km while driving i may have gotten about 2/3km before the digital display reduced by 1km

If you get ~1/2 the manufactures quoted range you‘re doing well…

One has to ask was it downhill with a following wind firmly up the chuffer of a large artic?

My old gem will show great MPG on the M6 in the right direction.

Its like mpg figures, you never get what it says in the blurb, real life scenarios are not where such stats come from.

They're good for reduced BIK (Benefit In Kind) tax for company car drivers, that is the only benefit to a Hybrid - Unless someone can come up with a decent argument to convince me differently.... I won't hold my breath :rolleyes:

I believe., tho not well shared that the dramas with hydrogen will be overcome
I believe it will be slowed by the fact that methods of fully tethering us to dealers and revenue streams are not yet developed enough to get makers jump on board, whilst consumers being tethered to battery replacement is probably quite attractive to makers. then there is the refill stns I see a future where housing estates will have community stns for the area density. Anyway. No chance I am adding more of today's nightmares(modern electrics, electronics) to my already over complicated life, day.

ITM Power are just investing ~£250M on a factory not far away from me in South Yorkshire

Grand lookin forward to development and new scheme that tethers us to brand. But I do believe its the way forward. Lecky is just betamax in between ala VHS /betamax

BIK on hybrids does make so much sense, I can have a new 530e SE tourer for about £190 a month out of my tax, if only they let me have an Eclass instead it would be hard not to go for one

Yup, i have 3 friends that have them for that very reason, all 3 said they wouldn't get on if they had to pay for it
