mercedes clk 2004

hi there i have a mercedes clk 240 2004 and on the dash board a yellow light comes on whilst im driving it, its near the red handbrake light? any idea what that is? also sometime when my brother drives it ( hes useless) it stops and then we need to wait 10 mins before it starts up again... again does anyone know what is up with it?

It could be two things if it's up to the right it could bre your ESP flashing - mine does all the time in the wet, particularly as I accelerate out into a main road when the wheels spin slightly.

If it's close to the brake light it's engine diagnostics - if that's the case there are wiser people on this forum than me to tell you what to do.

im lead to believe its to do with the crank shaft position can anyone confirm this to me thanks

How about checking the owners manual to see what the light is? And what you should do if it lights up...

hi sorry to be a pain i seen the owners manual it said its either a problem

with the fuel drying up

the light ignition

the exhaust

or the fuel injection system

any idea how much a problem like this would cost to fix?
