Hello members,
Mercedes E220 CDI In for Stage 1 calibration with all dyno time required included.
Got to work as usual checking tyres, dif, coolent, oil and fuel quality while running diagnostics on the vehicle while letting everything cool as these run very hot after this long a drive.
One thing the customer mentioned was that he wasn't completely sure on the transmission service history and had it booked a few days after the tuning to have the gearbox service performed so with that in mind while logging stock and tuned data I would set up the dyno loading a little different to usual so that I could throttle into the runs to take a bit of load off the transmission low down before the torque converter was being put under heavy load trying to lock up.
Multiple runs and sweep test along with different RPM tests.
Logs went to plan and vehicle was behaving as we would expect to the customers delight.
All data logging and communication is completed via OBD port.
Gaining an extra +36bhp and +100nm
Below are plots, shots and runs....
For any enquires please feel free to pop an email over to info@gadtuning.co.uk or call direct on 05603 67 21 09
