Mercedes e320 petrol starting problem

hi just become owner of mercedes e 320 petrol 2000r lovley car part of one problem
it wont start from time to time i think there is immobiliser prob couse when i disconect battery and connect again it starts ok i have tryied with both keys what can i do with that prob would like avoid expensive appoitment at mercedes garage
