Mercedes Engine Diagrams, Schematics

I have found that it is nearly impossible to get engine diagrams and schematics of Mercedes engines. I am trying to find the relationship between the Daimler /Chrysler 4.7L V8 engine and Mercedes engines, if any.

As a result, if anyone can give me links to pictures or any other information it would be greatly appreciated! Pictures of what your V8 engine looks like with the plastic covers off will help to.

There is a huge market of aftermarket parts for the 4.7L. If some of these parts or research can be applied to other similar Mercedes engines you would gain alot.

Ok, thanks. I am just curious, over here in America they give us everything (engine details), we are just spoiled. Any clue why more Mercedes engine information is not available?

MB info is available, they tend to run engines for long periods of time, but not as long as they do in the US, I think you are probably talking about the Chyrsler V8 dating from the 50's the current MB V8 is a type 113 light weight 5 litre the previous v8 was the type 119 with 4 OH cams and came in the 4.2 4.5 and 500 varients
