Hi,

I've owned VW beetles for many years now and there's always loads of festivals to go to in summer - essentially barbecuing and chilling out. We now have acquired a Mercedes and I wondered is there's anything similar to go to that's fun?

there are many get togethers around the country as you can see in the meet ups section. maybe not on as large a scale as the VW ones, but these arent just confined to summer, unlike the VW ones so with a mercedes, you get year round fun!

I supose what I was wondering is... I'm in my late 40's but I dread the idea of a meet that involves stuff like a formal meal and polite conversation (that's for my sixties (maybe, and if I'm still around)). Is there a meet that has a bit of an edge to it?

whereabouts are you Chadford?, Like TurboPete has said there are a few gtg's (get to gethers) going on at the moment, Warrington this weekend, Essex on 13th Sept, Bourton on the Water on 20th Sept. The gtgs are always very informal, just come along, have a chat and meet some realy nice people (thats what I do anyways )

Leeds.

I love the big festivals, I'm not good at tea and biscuits, and I'm not good at chit-chat, but it would be fun to meet up. What's the years biggest event?

The big one so far will be at Gaydon at the end of the year
