As i have been confined to my chair for the last couple of months awaiting a spinal operation which has severely restricted my mobility, I have been looking through ebay for some reading material.
I have no real interest in modern motoring magazines and, although I have driven most makes of new cars through previous jobs, I tend to like owning slightly older cars that I can tinker with and generally look after. I started to buy lots of older Mercedes content magazines and was amazed at how many are for sale. The general write ups interest me a lot more than the new publications and the cars relate directly with what I own. I have recently read a road trip article for an E320 W210 and, the driving experience, if your car is well maintained, despite it's age, is obviously no less enjoyable than it seemed to be when new. I drove them new but you tend to forget.
So, if your'e into the 'more mature' Mercedes and like reading about them, forget the stuff you can buy on the shelf and have a look for the old mags that you can pick up for pennies.
