Has anyone tried using Mercedes Me app from playstore? Is it safe to use it?

Thanks

Well, I am a MB newbie. So thought if fellow MB users are using the App or not. I'll set the app sometime soon. Thanks

I use the Mercedes Me app daily , some people find it a gimmic and dismiss it but I find it useful for mileage records, unlocking the car when I’ve left the keys in the house etc but I like the technology around it like checking I’ve locked the car or getting a reminder that a windows been left open

Been using it since I got my car last June.
Lots of useful information in the app and things you can do with your car, but as already said it only has maximum functionality on newer cars. :)

I'm sure I had the app on my phone and deleted it as you had to pay for the functions that I wanted to us, did I get that wrong?

If you buy a new car you get all functions free for 3 years then I believe some of them need to be paid for to carry on using, although I dont know which ones.

I used it for the first 3 years when it was free, but after that you have to pay and did not use it enough, or think it's worth what they want for another 3 years of use. Don't really miss it it that much and no longer get alarms that the car is unlocked when it never was anyway.

What car you got Ron there loads more on there than mine
I've got a 2020 CLA.
When I picked it up almost a year ago now the dealer had already registered my car on the app then talked me through downloading it and setting it up. :)

Didn't realise that, our car is over 5yrs old now so probably not worth it as I don't want to have to pay for something I might not use much

I'm still coming to terms with losing so many radio stations since our radio doesn't have DAB and I can't be bothered spending out a lot of money to sort that out!

Back in the 80s when I drove a Ford Cortina, there were two things that caused me untold distress and worry, giving me sleepless nights, causing relationship breakdowns etc. One was the fact that my Cortina's interior didn't have arrays of LEDs giving me the choice of 64 colour combinations plus all kinds of oscillating wave effects, and the other that even if it DID have that, I would be unable to choose the colour scheme from the comfort of my sofa on my (yet to be invented) smart phone using an "App".
Happily Mercedes have solved both problems for me now and I shall go to my grave contented.
