Hi all. My friend has a 2012 w209 220cdi with Mercedes ME fitted in to the ODB port. A couple of days ago he had the ESP, ABS ETC messages normally generated by defective ABS sensor. I have a Carsoft scanner I was going to read his codes for him but the Mercedes ME module is fitted in to the port. Is it OK to simply pull out the module or am I best leaving it alone and telling him to go to an Indie? I want to help him but don't want t break his car.

Many thanks

Paul

Just pull it out, won’t make any difference. Are you sure it’s a 209 CLK? Didn’t think they were still in production then,

Haha, don’t that myself before now, I was writing about my car and then wrote the model of W169 which is the wife’s A class
