Hi,

Just had my 2013 c220cdi serviced at a dealer, being nosy had a look at the dash cam after and noticed they had a computer screen on a trolley and connected it to battery terminals in engine bay.

What is this device ? Only had oil and brake fluid done.

I noticed MPG readings were ------ but everything else seems to be unaffected.

I did however think the car felt a little sluggish at one point and it made me think did the car have a remap, which is now wiped?

No big deal just curious is all.

Where's the OBD port on your car? On my S204 it's under the dash below the steering wheel. Can't think why they would connect a screen to the battery, but would expect them to connect to the OBD port!

They may have incorporated the new emissions software update with your service, this is to reduce Nox and yes the engine may behave differently

Did they connect the plexer to side of screen?
Or they may used it to reset your service light.

It's a dash cam so can only see the underside of the bonnet.

It's definitely slower on the big turbo (over 3k rpm) but the car isn't less responsive.

Is there any info on this update?

I'm in two minds whether it was remapped and now it isn't, or whether it's just been updated .

It didn't feel like a 200bhp plus car before, my experience of remaps is the difference is more noticeable.

I have done the system info on the dash and have software numbers if anyone can tell me what I'm looking for .

Just took the car for another drive, happy to say at higher speeds it seems to be the same. If I'm remembering right, I reckon second gear torque is lower than before at higher rpm though.

I don't think the car was remapped now, but it does feel different.
