Hi
I wonder if anyone can help, the black plastic trim panels either side of the rear window are flaking on my SL see attached image. I have tried wrapping them in place but wasn't pleased with the result. Can anyone suggest how I can remove these so I can try painting or wrapping again.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Mike

I take it back, looks like older threads have gone since the forum upgrade.

They are there, it’s just the search facility has amnesia :(
You can search from google and find the threads if you know a few keywords

I had the exact issue on my 07 R230. I had decided to replace them so assumed an attempt to DIY the finish couldn't hurt. I had a CeraKote Headlight Restorer kit and followed the directions just as though it was a headlight.... Worked perfectly and the panels look fantastic...like new. Only took about 10 minutes per side. Wipe them down with the cleaner wipe, use the 2 different grit sand paper pads, rinse and dry, apply the final wipe..like new. $20 Walmart
