I know this is an old thread but it seemed the suitable place to continue the Sheffield debate.

I've had my MB for 3 weeks now, purchased from Macclesfield MB who were OK in terms of selling me a car.

I initially booked a test drive at Sheffield of a CLK 230 Kompressor. When I turned up they had a 1997 320 sat waiting for me. What was worse was that I had specifically said I was looking for something around 2 years old. The salesman, with bad grace, then left my wife and I standing around in the car park while he went and found the car in which we were interested. Eventually, when we were sat down he didn't even offer to value my car and asked what it would take to change my mind and go for the 320.

Now, I wanted to book my MB in at Sheffield for them to look at a couple of problems. It took from 9.30 Monday morning until 1.30 Tuesday afternoon and 5 phone calls for them to ring me back with a date.

Sorry about that. My question, then, is are there any other franchise dealers to whom I could take my new toy within, say, 20 miles of Sheffield that any of you could recommend?
