Hi. I have a 2014 sprinter. It has shown up a few times on the dash alternator/ battery issue. It has done that today and I have put a multimeter to the battery and that is showing over 12 volts and the alternator is over 14 v. So both look to be fine. I also have a intermittent problem of the van not unlocking / locking and the ignition lights coming on when I put the key in. When it does this if I turn my interior light on, I then get ignition lights and it starts up no problem. The dash lights also seen dim and so does the reverse camera even tho they are set to the highest brightness. I'm guessing these problems are connected. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

Possible you could still have a faulty battery, Does it start the van ok all the time? Check the connections on the starter are clean too and could also be an earth issue

Yes it starts up every time with no problems. Even when it's really cold. I'm Not sure if there is a voltage regulator on the alternator.

It came up today with the same message. alternator/battery. That was without the headlights on and without the heaters. Just the radio on .

Thanks for the replies. I'll have a look. Did read online if the headlight flicker it's usually the regulator. Mine do flicker now and again
