Sprinter LWB 313
Hi guys I am hoping that someone can pont me in the right direction.
I had a LWB Sprinter 2014 euro 6 engine which was smashed and written off by the insurance. I have since then purchased an older LWB Sprinter 2011 Euro 5 engine with crank issues and 300k on the clock although in very good condition otherwise.
I was told by a local mechanic that this is a straight swap so I have gone ahead and swapped the euro 5 in the new vehicle with the euro 6 from my damaged vehicle.
It seemed to be identical with only one or two very small differences. However now that the job is complete its not 100% some engine rattle at high revs and plato of power, engine management light on and ESP light on.
Stationary the engine is very responsive and sounds very healthy.
Please if anyone has done this before can you let me know of anything that we should look out for such as the ECU or wiring loom does this need to be changed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Rgds,
Joe
